Welcome to 360 Degrees of Entrepreneurship!!

I was encouraged to start a blog that focuses on Entrepreneurship and what I’ve learned through my journey.  So, I decided to take the leap because I am good at that…I am so good at leaping out into the unknown…some call that risk taking.  I think that’s probably a polite way of labeling those of us who go down paths less traveled, go into situations blind, and commit to projects that we know nothing about knowing we won't stop until we do.  So yes, I am a risk taker, an entrepreneur, a passionate Italian/American on a mission.  Please join me.

I would tell you that I feel slightly inadequate to blog about Entrepreneurship, but a speaker once told her audience, in which I was attending, that we are NEVER to offer a disclaimer to an audience because they will focus on that disclaimer more than they will hear what you want them to.  As a result, I can’t tell you that I feel slightly inadequate but what I can tell you is that if there is anything I am capable of throughout my blogs, it is to tell share with you my experiences and the experiences of others.  I have learned so much through my entrepreneurial journey; some good, some bad and so for that I feel obligated to share my experiences as well as others experiences.

I wish that there was one amazing blogger that I followed when starting my journey…I trust I would have made less mistakes.  I didn’t find that one amazing blogger until later in my journey, so hopefully I can bring some insight.  In a later post, I will blog about my “go to” blogs that I follow now about Entrepreneurship.

Listen…there is nothing wrong with making mistakes, as long as you learn from them.  I often encourage my girls to make mistakes and then we will work through them together.  I believe if we aren’t making mistakes then we aren’t taking risks and with risks comes rewards.  So, take some risks already and then tell me what you learned from them.

Let me offer some transparency about myself.  I am not the grammar aficionado…I did not excel in college at writing, so I trust you will find a mistake from time to time.  I hope you point it out to me so I can learn from it.

So let me enlighten you on the woman behind this blog…did I just speak in third person?  I hate third person.  Let me start over…let me enlighten you about myself.  My name is Tricia and I am no one special.  I am just a passionate Entrepreneur that won’t stop until I have reached the goals I set for myself and my business.  I haven’t had a successful funding campaign…in fact I’ve failed more than once, I haven’t invented some amazing app or piece of technology, but I did meet one-on-one with Daymond John.  Woot Woot!  In a nutshell, I am the mother to some pretty spectacular girls (they are my ultimate motivation), I am the founder of a clothing line, the Madeline Lubrano Collection, tailored to tall women.  My company Elevate (formerly Bellezze Alte) will someday conquer the world in tall women’s fashion (feel free to quote me).  You will learn more about my company in future posts.  I also manage a full-time job working with Nonprofits in Kansas City, Missouri.  I am proud to be a Kansas City native and I will regularly reference the beauty of being an Entrepreneur in Kansas City…yes, flyover country.  I will also have a future post about flyover country written by Jason Grill.  I digress…I am no perfect Entrepreneur who has it all figured out, so I thought we could figure out this journey together.  What do you say?  Will you join me?

Ciao,
Trish
